The Titans and Jets have been making money for a lot of people this season, but only one of them will pay off when they meet on Sunday. Here's your Daily Sports Roundup.
The Gridiron Spotlight
Tennessee is pegged as a 5.5-point home favorite at home against the Jets on Sunday afternoon, with the game's total at 40.5 points. The Titans, who are 10-0 SU and 9-0-1 ATS on the season, picked up a 24-14 road win over the Jaguars last week. The Jets beat the Patriots 34-31 in New England last time out and they're at 7-3 SU and 6-4 ATS.
Two other division leaders will meet on Sunday when the Cardinals play host to the Giants. Arizona (7-3 SU, 7-3 ATS) has won three straight games, beating Seattle 26-20 last time out. The Giants (9-1 SU, 8-2 ATS) have picked up a win in each of their last five contests, most recently pounding Baltimore 30-10. The Giants are 3-point favorites.
Elsewhere around the NFL on Sunday it's Tampa Bay (-7.5) at Detroit, Buffalo (-3) at Kansas City, Chicago (-7.5) at St. Louis, New England at Miami (pick'em), Minnesota at Jacksonville (-2.5), Philadelphia at Baltimore (-1), Houston at Cleveland (-3), San Francisco at Dallas (-10), Oakland at Denver (-9), Washington (-3.5) at Seattle, and Carolina at Atlanta (-1). As well, San Diego is favored by 2.5 over Indy on Sunday night.
Other Notable Events
The Canadian Football League offers up its championship on Sunday, with the Calgary Stampeders taking on the Montreal Alouettes in the Grey Cup. The game will actually take place at Montreal's Olympic Stadium, meaning the bulk of the fans should have a rooting interest in the contest. The Stamps and Als met twice during the regular season, with Calgary winning (both SU and ATS) each time - including a 23-19 win in Montreal.
The oddsmakers set this game as a pick'em on the opening line, but the Alouettes have since shifted to small favorites at various books. The total for the contest is at 57 points.
The Rest of the Schedule
Three of the NBA's top teams are in action on Sunday, as the Celtics play in Toronto, the Pistons host Minnesota, and the Lakers get a visit from Sacramento. As well, Golden State will play a road game in Philadelphia, and Denver will welcome Chicago.
Two college basketball tournaments will continue Sunday, with the Paradise Jam event staging its semi-finals, and the Puerto Rico Tip-Off deciding its champion. As well, No. 10 Duke will take on Montana, and No. 15 Arizona State will go up against Pepperdine.
Finally, there are just two NHL games on the schedule for Sunday. The Predators will hit the road for a game over in Carolina, while the Lightning will play host to the Devils.
A Peek at the Future
The Saints are pegged as 2.5-point home favorites against the Packers for Monday Night Football, with the game's total listed at 51.5 points . . . Monday's NBA schedule includes Houston at Miami and Sacramento at Portland . . . Unbeaten Ball State will take on Western Michigan in college football action on Tuesday night, while the marquee Thursday night gridiron battle will see Texas looking to romp past Texas A&M.
